- lets see there is license plates basically who ever finds the alphabet first wins. i spy on items in the car only, if you go out of car that can cause problems. and walmart has tons of little electric had held games.
- Scavenger Hunts always last for a while. Give your kids a list of things to find out the window, like a cow, a pizza place, a fence, etc. Counting Cows is a fun game too. Go here-- http://www.momsminivan.com/counting_cows.html --for directions. Two versions of the License Plate game. 1.) Find every letter in the alphabet in order on license plates whizzing by and 2.) Have a list of the fifty states and check off ones that you see. Twenty Questions is a must-play. One person thinks of a famous person, place, or thing, and the others get to ask twenty questions (Is it a he? Is he an actor? etc) and try to figure out who it is. Geography is another good game. Pick anywhere (Kansas, for example.) The next person has to name a place that starts with the last letter of Kansas. So they could say South Carolina, etc. etc. Another license plate game is License Plate Lingo. For example, if you saw a license plate that said HJR 839, then the first to yell out a somewhat logical phrase using HJR would get a point (like Hopping Jack Rabbits, for example). The last one I can think of is Sweet or Sour. Just smile and wave to the people in a car passing you, and if they wave or smile they are 'sweet', and if they ignore you they are 'sour'. Hope these ideas help!
- We used to always play Car bingo, I bet you can find the game boards online, it's basically like bingo but instead of #'s it's types of cars- blue SUV, semi, bug etc and you try and get diagonal, hrizontal, vertical or blackout.....then my mom would give us candy or small toys as prizes. I spy is another one that's good- no props needed. Each person takes a turn and looks for something and the other people take guesses at what it is- I spy something Green.... is it a car, is it a truck, is it a sign, is it grass.... etc The dot box game- I know they still sell pad of paper set up for this game at walmart. it's basically a grid of dots, and each person take a turn conecting one dot, and the game continues, as you close a box you put your initial in it and the person with the most boxes once all the lines are connected is the winner Those were some of the ones we used to play...happy driving
