Is it possible to create crosswords puzzles in other alphabet such as mandarin or arabic symbols?

1. yeah, you just have to know how to speak the language. it has to be a language with letters, not charectoers meaning words. Spanish, french, latin, and german are easy to make crossword puzzels with. Japanese? not so much, yet i dont know japanese, so i cant really say. hope this helps! ^_^
2. There is no mandarin alphabet. So no, not possible.
3. in Chinese they make riddles about the elements of the hanzi...
